“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” they wrote. “Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us.”

They continued, “Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved. Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts. Your GRLS, Em, Tash, and P.”

Bennett was probably best known internationally for featuring on LMFAO’s chart-topping hit “Party Rock Anthem”

She later joined G.R.L., the girl group created by choreographer Robin Antin as a successor to the Pussycat Dolls. Alongside Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, Paula Van Oppen and the late Simone Battle, who died aged 25 in 2014, Bennett helped establish the group with singles including “Ugly Heart” and “Lighthouse.”
