A sitting member of Congress filed federal financial disclosures showing assets worth up to $30 million. One year later she filed disclosures suggesting those same assets are worth nothing — and may owe more than she owns. The American public deserves an explanation.

The silence speaks volumes. The Ethics Committee should make sure she can’t keep giving it.
