One year ago, every single Democrat in Congress voted against the Working Families Tax Cuts. Not most Democrats. Not a majority. Every. Single. One. While Republicans were delivering no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security, a doubled child tax credit, $1,000 Trump Accounts for every newborn citizen, and the prevention of the largest tax hike in American history â Democrats were on the floor calling it âabominableâ and demanding its âwholesale repeal.â
Now that 97% of American tax filers just received a tax cut â with working-class families under $100,000 keeping thousands more of their own money â Democrats have developed a sudden case of selective amnesia. And theyâre running ads claiming credit for legislation they tried to kill.
