SEATTLE — Belgium is headed to the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals after defeating The U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team (USMNT) 4-1 Monday night at Seattle Stadium.
The Red Devils eliminated the United States in front of a sold-out crowd, ending the Americans’ tournament run while extending Belgium’s own unbeaten march through the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Belgium will face Spain in the quarterfinals after Spain defeated Portugal 1-0 earlier on Monday.

The Red Devils reached the Round of 16 after winning Group G. Belgium opened the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Egypt before playing Iran to a scoreless draw. The Belgians then closed group play with a 4-1 victory over New Zealand to secure first place in the group before defeating Senegal 3-2 in Seattle’s first knockout-round match.
